NeuroLeadership
1. Healthy Leadership
Being a leader in dynamic turbulent times can be both exhilarating and exhausting. The capabilities of leaders are being pushed to new limits everyday in terms of the speed, quantity and complexity of information flow, critical conversations and high-impact decisions. Optimal leadership capability must first be built and then maintained through focused, balanced attention. How can leaders best manage the speed, complexity and stresses of my daily work? How can theylead others when time and performance pressures are so great? In this program, we explore the key components of a healthy, balanced leadership practice. From the inside-out, participants learn first about the inner workings of the mind in high-paced environments, then about techniques for managing themselves through challenging times. Healthy brain habits are shared and action plans developed to create healthier leadership habits for better performance and greater job satisfaction.
2. Executive Presence
Leaders that excel at the uppermost levels of highly-visible organizations have a certain executive presence that demands attention. Executive presence is typically described as someone who is self-confident, poised, approachable, authoritative, genuine and relaxed. Executives are not born with these innate attributes and attitudes. They developed them over time, building upon their own experiences, strengths and styles. Participants learn how to build on their personal foundation to allow for the outward appearances to match the inward capabilities, utilizing the latest neuroscientific findings of self-awareness and social awareness. Sessions can be provided over multiple timeframes to maximize effectiveness. Works well in a coaching format, especially in combination with a small group Teams at the Top program.
3. Cross-Train Your Brain
This program describes the various brain capabilities required to attain excellence in leadership thinking. Analytical, emotional, associative, semantic and logic capabilities are just a few of the areas for continuous adult development. In a fun and entertaining program, we use brain games and teasers to explore the various brain functions and relate them to workplace applications. Through assessments and personal reflection, participants identify the biases, strengths and weaknesses of their own cognitive abilities andthe targeted areas for improvement. A great program for large presentations and one-on-one coaching engagements.
